SF Eats: The Morris
I had the opportunity to enjoy dinner at The Morris a few weeks back, and it was super delicious! Located in the Mission/Potrero Hill area, there's not too much around the restaurant so it might be kind of a trek for a meal, but I enjoyed the upscale ambiance and A+ service. It is definitely on the pricier side, so this is a date spot or a place to treat someone for sure!
To start things off, our kind host gave us complimentary cocktails with chartreuse in them. A little bit sweet, a little bit tartβthese drinks were the perfect start
For appetizers, the chicken foie gras dumpling has to be purchased per piece, but it was delicious and oh so decadent.
We also had to get some charcuterie, and The Morris has a great selection of meats, cheeses, and spreads. They even had some kind of headcheese on the board that was super rich!
For entrees, we split a medium-rare steak that came with foie gras potato latkes. Yes, I said foie gras potato latkes! It was a bit on the salty side but, still, it was delicious
Next, we split this beautifully roasted duck that came with roasted vegetables. Duck is a delicious meat, but always a bit boney for me! I also wish some of the vegetables had been roasted for longer so they could have been nice and tender. Still good, though!
We ended the meal with donuts and caramel sauce. Unfortunately, the picture didn't come out great, which is why I didn't include it in here π Just trust me when I say they were delicious!
Bonus, here is a cute dog named Joey that came over to us when he smelled our food!
Where should I go eat next? Do you have any favorite spots in the bay?
