SF Eats: Amitis Cafe

SF Eats: Amitis Cafe

I love a good poke bowl, especially when I can get it right down the street from my apartment! Enter, Amitis Cafe. This place is a little weird because they seem to be closed on random days and they don't really provide any store information online. Either way, the people who own it seem to have a thing for corgis (+1) because there are little signs and decorations all over the store about these cute critters, and they have a pretty decent menu of sandwiches and drinks.

The poke bowls and sushirritos were recently added last year, and I tried a poke bowl while working from home one day.

I got a salmon and ahi tuna bowl on rice (people who get it on salad...why), and I added seaweed salad, cucumber, ginger, and avocado. I then got it all topped off with their spicy mayo sauce. For $13, the bowl was pretty filling and the fish tasted relatively fresh! I felt full when I finished the bowl, and I enjoyed every bite. TBD on whether or not this was because I was pretty hungry, but I back up the Amitis Cafe poke bowl anyway.

You can build your own bowl and you can get up to two proteins in your order. I would say the price is pretty similar to any other poke bowl place, so a little pricey but average for San Francisco!
