SF Eats: Pink Onion Pizza

SF Eats: Pink Onion Pizza

My latest food adventure was at Pink Onion Pizza in the Mission! The owners had invited a bunch of food instagrammers I know and a few I didn't, so it was fun to have a big meal with a big group! It also meant we got to order more food than usual so we could share it all 😆

By the end, we had tried nearly everything on the menu, and it was all tasty with a few standouts!

Of course, we had to try almost all the pizzas. There's one that comes with caramelized onions and breadcrumbs...you read that right. BREAD CRUMBS. The flavor was interesting but the textures threw me off! The pizza dough was nice and chewy, the filling was really soft and kind of creamy, and then the breadcrumbs were kind of crunchy. A few people liked this pizza but I wasn't super into it, so you just have to try it and see what you think!

I really liked the butternut squash pizza, but I absolutely loved the Giovanni's Pizza that came with eggplant. I don't have a good picture of that last one because we were all feasting when it came out 😂  Overall, Pink Onion is a good place for a meal with friends or for a date! It's relatively small with both seats inside and outside, and they serve alcohol too.
