Quinoa Pomegranate Salad and First Time Pavlova
This Christmas, I was in San Francisco again instead of flying home. Like last year, I knew I wanted to make a big feast, but, luckily, I had friends over to help me eat.
UNFORTUNATELY, there was still too much food so I had a bunch of leftovers that I'm STILL trying to finish. Thanks to the internet, I found recipes for things to try, and I made my first pavlova!
Herbed Quinoa and Pomegranate Salad by Cookie and Kate
Ina Garten's Pavlova Recipe. Pavlovas take MUCH longer to make than I had realized, but this one still turned out okay. Instead of using mixed berries like Ina did, I sliced up a persimmon and added some mint sprigs for garnish.
