SF Eats: Chez Marius

SF Eats: Chez Marius

What do foie gras and burgers have in common? Not really anything, but they're a delicious combination! I was invited to try a new brunch menu at Chez Marius, a French restaurant in Noe Valley, and my group got a bunch of different dishes to tasteβ€”enough where I needed a long nap after.

If you're not a big brunch fan, try the mussels! Get extra baguette slices and save them for the broth at the bottom of the bowl.

The Marius burger came with caramelized onions and mushrooms, already a great combo, but then you could add on foie gras for $9...obviously, we did it. We were surprised to see how big the foie gras patty was, but it was definitely worth the money we paid!

I got the Eggs Benedict, which are pretty classic and nothing exciting. The hollandaise tasted pretty buttery, but I liked the potatoes that came with them. The salad seemed pretty unnecessary though

The French Toast didn't look like anything to write home about, but everyone in our group really liked it! I personally didn't love how buttery it was, but, if you like rich foods, you'll enjoy this dessert.
