East Bay Eats: Southie and Uji Time

East Bay Eats: Southie and Uji Time

Alright, I showed you first day in the East Bayβ€”here's the second! I went with some Instagrammer buddies to Southie in Oakland to start with brunch. This place was super, super small so definitely don't try to come in here with 10 people like we did πŸ˜‚ They were really nice and saved us spots because we called beforehand, but they only have one big table...that fit 5 of us, barely. The rest had to sit at the counter, but it worked!

Fried chicken salad, poached egg and bacon salad, and their Spicy Hog sandwich

Close-up of the Spicy Hog. Check out that pulled pork!

Whoops, forgot the name of this one...

Check out those meatballs!

After a big brunch, we headed over to Uji Time in Berkeley. This place is known for their taiyaki cones: the fish-shaped cake cones filled with soft serve. It was pretty hilarious seeing 10 people running around with these cones trying to get pictures before they melted

The behind the scenes look you never get

Look at this beautiful group!

And here is a FULLY LOADED black sesame parfait

Until next time, East Bay!
